Switching to another server
Korea players play on EU or NA servers. I’m not sure which one they play. Apparently the ping isn’t too bad. I know of people in Australia playing on NA, and I know of people in America playing in EU. Neither of them have major latency problems, so I would just stay where you are and if the lag gets bad, try swapping but be careful (you can also try using a trial account or something, if they ever get re-implemented).
Thanks for the reply, guess I’ll just have to wait and see then. Seems like there should be few issues if they do just make use of those servers then.
Okay, though I’d revive my own thread rather than starting a new one.
So I’m now living in Korea and as you can see my connection is pretty kitten good:

My lag is horrendous though. I’m playing on an EU server still at the moment and am wondering if it’s worth trying a NA server to try and improve things? The cost of transferring isn’t exactly cheap though so I don’t want to splash the cash and then find it to have done nothing. I can’t even transfer to a high population server as I don’t have enough gems to do so and my saved card can’t be used from over here. Oh and yes, I don’t have a Korean bank card yet.
Can anyone offer any advice or tips or tell me if they’ve had similar problems and what they did to try and solve them? Nice one.
Most Koreans I know play on NA servers, not EU. It is worth a shot to try an NA server (if you can farm the gold or whatever).

Note: that’s nearly 50g. You could send Anet a ticket to see if you could test it with gems and have it refunded if it doesn’t work out.
