This may be possibly better suited in the lore section but here we go.

I’ve decided on making my Revenant in a few days a Sylvari but as someone that has never seriously played a sylvari wanted to know if there is any relevance lore wise to sylvari skin colors and the Cycles that they were born in. Or is the cycle mainly for personality of character (from a Lore/RP perspective)?

Any insight would be helpful!

You can reflect the cycle in your coloring if you like, but it is not necessary. I looked at the pictures of the Luminaries of each cycle and especially the Luminary of Noon http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Niamh does not look ‘noon coloured’ to me.

Every race has one almost entirely irrelevant choice at character creation and this is the sylvari one.

It determines which Luminary you speak to at certain points in your low level personal story, and a small number of dialogue options but other than that it doesn’t make a difference.

(Having said that I did restart my sylvari because I decided she’d be more suited to the Cycle of Noon than Dawn, but I’m weird like that.)
