Anyone know what the point of the whole climbing the tower thing is? I’ve gotten up pretty high before falling but it’s not a skill point or area discovery.. is there anything up there?

Sounds like a jumping puzzle to me. But I could be wrong as I don’t know exactly what place you mean.

Yes, he’s probably referring to the jumping puzzle in Morgan’s Spiral. Jumping puzzles typically have a chest at the end that rewards a couple pieces of gear, and in the cases of WvW, badges. Each puzzle also rewards an achievement the first time you do it.

If you mean Morgan’s Spiral, it’s a jumping puzzle. It also leads to the nastiest JP I’ve tackled yet (Dark Reverie). At the end of every JP you get a chest with some nice gear. Lately I’ve found that chests from JPs are the best way to reliably get good gear.

FYI, Caldon Forest also has the Spekk’s Lab and Spelunker JPs. Both of those are pretty fun, but expect to die a bunch in Spekk’s Lab. There’s also a fight at the end. Good luck!

Morgan’s Spiral, yes. It’s a jumping puzzle. There are plenty about Tyria and is/was always my greatest joy when I found one and (eventually) completed them. If you truly want to enjoy jumping puzzles, don’t rely on online guides.
