T3 Culture Armour Let Down
i think, just from t2 (the verdant stuff) and the icons, that there are blue glass blades/stones in the weapons. the preview is probably bugged (look at the other cultural weapons, it’s just the same there). if that is the case, they probably look pretty awesome. haven’t found a valid picture yet, so at this moment it’s just an educated guess.
you might want to have a look at the ebonhawke weapons, they are some of the most beautiful ones ingame in my opinion (black and gold and dark blue). you can reach the fortress through an asura gate in divinity’s reach (all to the east of the city), or by just walking to the fields of ruin.
First, what the thread title is totally misleading.
Secondly, the preview of the Sylvari Cultural Weapons is just as misleading. As I understand it, all the Sylvari Cultural Weapons have blue crystalline structures that are not rendered in the preview. I have yet to spot anybody with the Sylvari Staff, but I’ve just gotten myself the Greatsword.
If you still want a Sylvari look to your staff, you could also take a gander at Twilight Arbor weapons.
The problem I have with all the Cultural Weapons is that you can find the same thing while leveling up, or from quest rewards. My Sylvari has the Greatsword from a level 10 quest, I just use Transmutation stones to change it to my newest weapon. Doesn’t feel very special when you can level up with them.
lol and you’re complaining? ever looked at the Charr armor sets? they look terrible, I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t make me look like an Emo child molester
0_0 they need to fix the previews then, spending 63k karma for a weapons is a bit much to just see if it looks different lol. but good to know, hopefully thats fixed soon.
i do agree with some other stuff and friends and i were complaining a bit yesterday, there is a lot of gear thats high level and looks like your level 1 starting gear, which is just terrible.
sylvari T1 is atrocious, it looks like low level gear you pick up and it looks nothing, plant like at all, for culture weapons to look like it came from the asura on a sylvari, if thats intentional, then i have to worry about some of the games designs.
hoping for a lot of changes on looks of gear because atm its just plain bad, and i got the same feedback from all races gear.
@Miotas, yeah i think ill go looking there tonight thanks for the heads up.
I’ve seen some pretty good looking human dungeon sets, that is what this game is all about, mixing and matching to figure out what makes you look good.
Think wow raid time, mixed with barbie doll dress up time.
Most tier 3 stuff has glows and sparkles and what not. Probably doesnt come up in preview, thats all
Rank 1X SneekyTheef (T), Wizzizard (M), Gerdierhn (G)

i just dont want to waste 63k karma buying the T3 culture staff for sylvari, and the sparkles might be amazing but that staff in the preview looks like it will break in 1 min, its so small/thin and so dead, in a way it doesnt feel close the lore of the sylvari at a T3 level, aside that its made of wood. no leaves, no floral =( if the sparkles are blue, then ill say its bad design, but i dont know that yet.
got some screens of the armour

absolutely nothing to do with culture, and its low level look is found at game start.
Sylvari T2: http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/sylvariculturalweapont21.jpg
if its got particles, its pretty good for T2 no complaints.

Not worth 63k karma, it looks like it died, i expected something better looking for the price and level =(
side note, the T3 norn weapons i picked up one that looks like it at around level 50-60 lol, that should never happen imo.

If you transmute the T3 with the T2 Cultural Armor, will it still sparkle? I really really like the leaves at the back of the light T2 Sylvari Cultural Armor ><
im not sure but my guess is that it would not.
