I have been having trouble with it , but i wanted to ask if blocking works as well?

You just need to jump at the right time no need to dodge, it can trigger in strange places as well (up to the side of the body). There is a shout out by the NPC when the tail is about to swing.

That achievement is a bit flakey. I got mine after I was knocked back by a finger (or exploded by an abom… can’t recall which, but I definately wasn’t dodging at the time). Seems the only consistant thing is standing behind Teq.

I’ve heard of quite a few people get this achieve by getting feared while in behind Teq. It’s how I got this particular achievement.

What Jaina said. Just stand behind him, let yourself be feared (do not use stability) and you generally get it.
