How many times have you tried to complete a map, only to discover you’re one measly Point of Interest away from 100%? And then you spend the next fifteen minutes scanning your map with a fine toothed comb trying to locate that tiny icon? I just did exactly that in Fireheart Rise. My last Point of Interest was totally camouflaged into the map, and incredibly difficult to locate.

I’ve found a way to make it a little easier find pesky PoI’s.

1. Open your Map.
2. Click the little Eye icon at the bottom left hand corner.
3. The icon lets you filter out what you’ll see on your map. Uncheck EVERYTHING, so that you have a clean map with nothing but waypoints.
4. With your Map zoomed in as much as possible, toggle the “World Completion” box on and off rapidly. Doing this makes your Points of Interest, Skill Challenges, Vistas and Renown Hearts “flash” on and off. The “flashing” effect will draw your eyes to any hidden or hard to see POI icons.
5. Repeat for different sections of the map. Drag the map to one area. Toggle World Completion on and off rapidly. Find whatever you’re missing.

It doesn’t help if you haven’t uncovered some sneaky PoI.

It has filters for all the map elements and includes pet locations if you are a ranger.
Also the map elements are links to more info on the element, including videos for accomplishing the selected vista.

That is a very useful tip; thank you. I just tried it to find one missing vista that my eyes failed to find for several minutes of scanning!

There’s now an even easier way to do it.

Open the options menu, turn the content guide on and set it to hide events and personal story.

It will point you towards anything you need to complete the current map, including areas you haven’t uncovered yet.
