For those of you that are familiar with legendary weapons crafting i’m curious. I understand the general idea and i’m working on getting my first the Bitfrost now. I see you need The Legend and i see how to obtain it there are multiple ways. what do you guys think is the most fastest way of obtaining this part of the legendary i want to craft?

The fastest? Get extremely, incredibly lucky and have it drop from an enemy or chest. Next fastest is to get extremely lucky and get it from the Mystic Forge with relatively few tries.

But by far the most reliable way is to save up and buy it from the trading post. It’s unlikely to be quick, unless you have a lot of stuff to sell, but on average it’s quicker and less frustrating than waiting for a lucky drop or trying your luck and potentially wasting your gold in the Mystic Forge.

Haha thanks. I’m new to legendary weapons and i’m working on crafting it i just didn’t know if there was a for efficient way of getting the Legend or not

One other thing that might come in useful if you haven’t got the Gift of Exploration and don’t often play WvW: The WvW maps are required for 100% completion.

Unlike PvE maps you can’t just go around and do the entire map in one go as it depends on what your server controls and where the enemy are. To avoid getting extremely frustrated don’t leave them till last. Go there regularly and do what you can each time. Particularly check once a week to see if your server has changed colours as that will open up a lot of new areas. Also if you see in map chat that your side is making a push for somewhere you need to go join them, even if they don’t succeed you might have time to map it while the gates are down.

I started my way to the Bifrost by simply buying The Legend on the trading post.

Don’t start with crafting the gifts first, because you might not have the gold for the precursor after that, and you end up frustrated. In my opinion, all starts with the precursor.

Some people try to craft the precursor in the mystic forge, but after I saw how ridiculously low the probability for actually getting a precursor is, I ceased to try it this way. Previously I threw every rare from every event into the mystic forge to get a random precursor, but after that I either sold the rares or salvaged them for ectos, which I saved.

To be honest, buying the precursor started out as an error, because I only wanted to show to my guild friends that you can put a buy offer 100 gold below the lowest buy offer and get even high-end items much cheaper than it appears. I intended to sell it again, and I was in doubt that I really get it that cheap any time soon.

But to my surprise the transaction was successful, and I decided on the spot to craft my first legendary weapon instead of selling back the precursor.
