Guild Wars 2

First I apologize if this thread has been already created, updated or if I’m on the right section of the forum.

I’m crafting my legendary and all I have left is the Shards. I already check http://www.gw2state.com/temples.html if any server it’s open to buy them, however all are completely abandoned. I don’t want to spend laurels or fractal relics because is too much!

Any help is appreciated.

I’m not sure if there is some sort of timer related to when that temple can be opened, but if you check that site later in the day you’re almost sure to see at least a few servers listed as “attacking” at the same time.

At least in the US, it’s still very early morning which means less people are on and definitely are much more unlikely to be opening temples.

Just have some patience and wait until later in the day and keep checking. :P

The Temple of Balthazar is not that hard, but its very long and need a lot of people. But its not abandoned. On Crystal desert, there is about 2-4 run per month. I guess its similar to most server, some do it less, other do it more.

I wouldn’t say its abandoned, i got my shards last night actually. It really depends on what time of the day you go. If you play in NA servers, you will have MUCH better luck during NA Prime Time than early in the morning.

The best time to check is peak time for your server.

Alternatively you could ask your guild or ask in the Vigil Keep to see if you can get a group together, there might well be other people wanting to do it.

Last time I got a bunch of obsidian it was because I was in the Vigil Keep checking my progress towards a legendary when I saw someone in map chat saying they were going to open the temple, so I went down, helped with some events and then got my obsidian.

We tend to have most of the temples open. Balth can be tricky but more often then not we at least attempt a push at it once or twice, until it unlocks or the zerg gives up. That will probably change with the up coming season two. I know my Guild is gonna be spending alot more time in WvW for the foreseeable future.

It depends. I just checked that site listed and there was one spot open in both NA and EU. The best time to look is prime time, which is around reset on the NA servers.

I would also keep an eye on it all day on weekends. Many Guilds that do these long runs every several weeks wait until working folks have a block of more than a few hours available (Saturday & Sunday)
