Meant to post this earlier.
I had never done Fractals and have had a hard time getting anyone to accept me for dungeons, but last week I had 2 groups that were patient enough with not just 1 but several new players in the group.
The post in open world was simply, “Join us for some fun”. Turns out they were doing AC path 1, which I never had an opportunity to do before. I switched up my skills and we all wiped a few times, but it was fun.
Right after I decided to press my luck and find a fractal group, something I never have any luck with.
Someone happened to be running a low level Fractal with all welcome.
I am sorry I don’t remember names, but we got so much help from our host who took on entirely players new to the game mode.

I so appreciate this community and players willing to expand the appreciation on all the features that make this game enjoyable.

Ah, the feel good post of the day.. :-)

It’s true that there are ‘old’ players who frown upon newbies, but luckily they are not the majority in the GW2 community.. I think that if you communicate decently (mention it’s first time for you, ask advice during the run), that this is more appreciated then being a Fractal veteran who just rushes through it all, expecting that the entire party knows what to do..

Newbies are always welcome when I do a (low level) fractal run!

What I took from your post is you are an intelligent person capable of reading the LFG ad.

Anyone that posts LFG about having fun or all welcoming is in the mood to have fun, and won’t mind taking 10 mins longer to finish a fractal to teach someone new.

Bad community posts are very often written by idiots that don’t read the LFG ad that says specifically the group wants someone 80 or zerk or exp’d (experienced) and the idiot joins the group even when they don’t meet the requirements.

Yup, just like Vert said.

Also, there are many players that accomplished pretty much everything, so a good way to spend his time in game is helping others to get better in dungeons and fractals.

Such topics really shows that GW2 has the best community among the MMOs
