Wasn’t sure where to post this, sorry. So I was super hyped to get my The Emperor title today but ended up wasting gold(unless someone has a good explanation.) I got 18 pieces of cultural armor for Human and it never gave me the title, so i bought more pieces seeing if it would work, i ended up with 50 pieces of the total 54 pieces and still didn’t get the achievement/title. Please someone tell me I am just missing something and not that Anet is kittening me. I’ve posted screenshots bellow showing the skins I have unlocked. I did not have any issues with the other races cultural armors, only human.

you got bad luck, last piece you need is either 1 of those your missing or piece you already have unlocked but you unlocked it b4 wardrobe change so you have to buy that piece again, no way to check that unfortunately, had same problem when I was doing the title

I would pm CS since i see you have a full set of T1/2/3 sets that should have given you it.

You can also go to the armor vendors and hover over each of the items they offer. If there is a missing item it should say ‘Skin Locked’ in the tool tip.
Odd thing is that you only need one of each of the three armor varieties for each levels (e.g. only heavy for all three tiers), and since you have checked it thoroughly missing one would be possible but all three that sounds less likely.

I think the t1 chest piece is an option for completing the lvl 20 personal story chapter now, and if you obtain them from that instead of the merchant it doesn’t count for the achievement despite unlocking the skin.

It’s possible some other pieces are obtained that way, but I haven’t checked.

This. Since it’s just T1, OP, you could always buy the chest pieces again and see if that solves the problem.

What Serval and Red Queen said. It’s T1 chest. You can only unlock the items for The Emperor by buying them from the vendor; unlocking them via Personal Story doesn’t count. Luckily, that’s the only cultural skin you get by doing PS. So, just go buy the chest again. It’s cheap.

Yet, when I did the PS with a tree, never played one before, just did it for the AP, it gave me the AP for unlocking it. Next time I’m on my PC I’ll check. But I’m 99.9% sure I saw the AP badge pop up when I got the T1 chest.

You probably got the pop up for just unlocking the skin in the wardrobe. I’m 100% certain that you can’t unlock it for The Emperor without buying it directly from that vendor.
