Before I reached Lion’s Arch I was always salvaging the gear I collected. Then I found the Mystic Forge and now I think I’m kind of addicted to its gambling system. I keep all the gear I find to try my luck with Zommoros.
Last night I got the first good reward. I offered 4 greens and got 1 yellow chest armor with the exact stats I’m looking four.

I just wish I had more space in the bank so I could match them better because as it is right now I don’t have the space to keep them long enough to have 4 of the same type. So I just throw them in randomly. I guess I’ll have to pay some real money to unlock more bank slots.

Anyways, is there any way to acquire Mystic Forge recipes in the game? I don’t like to look for recipes on the internet because I consider it cheating.

You can find recipes on the game wiki… I know you said you don’t like to use the internet, but hopefully you’ll change your mind about it being “cheating” to use the internet when there’s an actual “/wiki” command built directly into the game.

I’m not asking for the recipes, I’m asking if there’s a way to acquire them in game.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that people who look for recipes online are cheaters, I just don’t like to do it myself as I think it spoils the game. Just my personal opinion.

The Wiki is official. They really don’t mind and even expect you to search for recipes.

@Agemnon, As Calavera stated, she doesn’t say others will have objections if you get them from a forum, but she wants to find them without help from anything in a webbrowser.

@Calavera, No, you can’t get recipes in the game. Izzy (from anet) said the following at https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/my-legend-grows-forging-your-first-legendary-weapon/ :
’ We’ve kept the recipe a mystery so the community has a puzzle to figure out’

So when it comes to legendary weapons and other mystic forge items, they are encouraging people to use things like the wiki and other sources. If you have a problem with that, the forge won’t be your thing. But honestly, there is nothing wrong with using outside sources.
