Guild Wars 2

Recently came off a long hiatus from this game after hitting 80 after release, so I decided to play again in order to finish the F & F content.

Right now, I still need to finish up the story content and farm dungeons for exotics, but I just can’t find people to do that with (on Yak’s Bend currently). The higher level zones are devoid of people so it’s really difficult to proceed in each area or even reach the next objective for my story mode. I also just can’t seem to find anybody to do dungeons/fractals with, although I am guildless as well.

So should I just try to spend time on other things like completing the map, crafting or pvp?

For instances use gw2lfg.com. For getting around high level zones, don’t forget you can guest on other servers. Try finding the website for a mega guild like gaiscioch.com and look at their calendar of events to see when they are clearing those zones. Most of their events are open to everybody.

Right now a lot of high level zones are empty because people are/were focusing on the Flame & Frost event, but that’s just finished so people will be going back to other things.

If it’s still empty you could try guesting to another server.

Also unless you want a specific stat combination which isn’t available I’d recommend getting exotics from karma vendors rather than dungeons because it’s probably quicker. You can always run the dungeons for the skins you want later and it’ll be easier because you’ll already be in exotics.
