Thinking of Returning
PvP is pretty much all cookie cutter builds right now.
I did try poison focused condition ranger before. It works but don’t expect it to be as strong as the meta builds.

What are the meta ranger builds? Are they ranged at least?

It is probably the strongest 1v1 build currently in conquest PvP. Staff is ranged.
Also has strong mobility and support.
Ironically proving again that you need to not be a Ranger in order to be strong in the competitive game.
@OP: Don’t expect the things that drove you away from the game to not still be in the game to drive you away the second time. In my experience, if you didn’t find the game worthwhile sticking to, it won’t likely draw you back either.
…
Ranger | Necromancer | Warrior | Engineer | Thief
Meta bunker druid does lose to an acro trick dare staff dp thief in a 1v1 but that’s beside the point because acro trick daredevil staff thief is rarely seen in pvp. In a conquest setup, a meta druid will typically either slowly win or draw a fight against pretty much anything.
OP pvp isn’t really about playing your own particular style and build. It’s either you learn to play meta builds and simultaneously learn to play against these meta builds or you play your special unique build and enjoy a less than 50% win/loss ratio.
