It’s a bit of a strange title, I admit, but please hear me out. I’ve noticed a tendency to, after getting past the Personal Storyline (Race) sections (i.e. 11-20 and 23-30 or so, for my characters), kind of fall into a mentality.
I kind of just go into this cycle of doing as many Renown Hearts as I can find in the area, then moving on to either the area of a slightly higher level that is adjacent to it (Where I’m normally outleveled), or going to do the starting/near-starting RHs for other races, i.e. my Sylvari going to Metrica Province, the Charr starting/near-starting zones, and then the Norn starting zone.
The whole thing’s kind of gotten mechanical, and I have unlocked a decent amount of cool things for these characters to be doing, power-wise (Asura thief, 14, Charr necro, 14, Norn warrior, 11, Sylvari Engi, 24 (though I don’t really like to touch the Engi much, due to complexity)
I have looked up discussions on quickly leveling up chars, and I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a reason why the world of GW2’s so vast and detailed. It’s not meant to be burned through. The player is intended to play at their own pace, and just have fun.
With that in mind, though, I’ve been wondering if I’m really supposed to be sweeping zones like this.
I desperately want to have fun with this game. Are there ways to break it up, or something?
