So today I caved and bought a commander tag. I run Tequatl regularly, and do some WvW on the side. I’ve given a few orders before, but never been the one “in charge” of things before. Do any experienced commanders have any advice for me? Thanks!

Or if you do, make sure you’re a necromancer and use spectral walk to survive and watch all the sheep kill themselves.

Well, I led my first zerg tonight. We took a bunch of towers, defeated another zerg, and I managed not to do something terribly wrong. If I get a little better I might start playing WvW more frequently.

My recommendation is to study each map in detail, and even learn from other commanders in map. Not just what to do and where to assault, but what NOT to do. Same works for any PvE events. But my biggest bit of advice is not to even tag up unless you’re willing and ready to take command, even if only for a small event.
