Is it 80 tomes or 79?

It’s 78, actually. 2>3, 3>4, 4>5, 5>6, 6>7, 7>8, 8>9, and 9>10 total 8, then 10 per group of 10 levels up to 80.

This assumes that you do the starter instance to get to level 2. If you just use the tomes in the instance it’s 79 tomes.

It’s only 60 if you have a level 20 tome from a character’s birthday.

I definitely recommend doing the starter instance instead of using another tome. It only takes a few minutes and even if you literally just run to the end and stand in the area of the boss event doing no damage until it ends you’ll get enough XP to reach level 2.

You can cut it down to 59 it you have bank access in the starter area and pop your lvl 20 time before completing it.

Ya, I never got a 20 level tome, but I’ll have 79 ToK after tonight’s daily long-in reward. I have a bunch of level 80 gear, and I want to see how well the Duke can fight that. Plus I want to do this after Tuesday’s update, see how the new system works.
