Token Vendors
I have to disagree with you on this point. There are two important reasons to put all possible gear in the vendorwindow.
a: preview gear for a future character
b: Buy gear to salvage it into mats like ecto’s. Heavy armor is more likely to salvage in e.g. ori.
Many people like dungeons but are not interested in the gear. To prevent that the tokens keep stacking up and to have a better use then throwing them into the bin, they salvage gear. To make sure they have a higher change what they want need for crafting, people often get armor for different professions.
You want those people to be limited cause you didn’t read properly??
Having said that there, if you want to make a suggestion to make it more stupidity proof, I would say to put a checkmark somewhere in the window ‘Only show Gear I can equip’ and have that checked on default.
If people uncheck that mark and still buy the wrong ones…..well there is no limit to stupidity ands its likely going to happen, but I hope a lot less then now
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Make the vendor like laurel vendor:
Talk once → multiple tabs instead of two dialogs

- Exotic Medium Armors
- Exotic Heavy Armors
- Other
@OP
If there’s red text, you should think twice about buying an item.
also, if you could immediately refund the wrong item for its tokens, that would be great.

i see what your saying but i was actually just going by the icon, I had just looked at what I was going to buy went and did something and thought i was looking at the same icon so this really wasnt a case of stupidity as it is just not paying attention, i understand the salvaging part with the gold rarity items but why would you spend enough tokens on the exotic pieces when the gold is cheaper with a way higher yeild, but your point about previewing for other characters is true and the window option idea was way better than mine but that’s why i said somewhat suggestion the main point was to figure out if there was anything i could do with them (maybe i should had specified the exotic gear)
