Toughness vs Healing Power - Which is better statistically?
What profession?
I’ve been wondering this same thing for awhile now, as well. I may be mistaken here, but I think toughness is the better investment. Toughness is armor. You take less damage without depending on signets or traits to benefit from it, and it’s typically sufficient to trait for it without having to think about it on your gear, or gear for it and trait into an offensive tree. Sorry, I don’t think that helps you but it’s a thread-bump, so love me.
I don’t know the numbers. However:
– Condition damage ignores toughness. Making healing better against it.
– Toughness reduces incoming direct damage. Making it easier for your allies to keep you alive when you need their help.
Actually, thinking about it a bit further, the reason I’m going with toughness on my necro over anything else is because my important stats are precision/condition damage and the only items with those stats + a tanking stat have toughness as the tanking stat.
So have a look at the gear and figure out which stat combination works best for you.
