So I put in a bid last week on a chaos longbow skin – needless to say the price has now inflated and techinically my bid is lost, in other words, my gold looks basically unrecoverable until a random time when the bid wins out.

Is there any way to cancel the bid and get the gold back? If there isn’t this seems like stupid system!

there sure is:

1. open the trading post.
2. click the My Transactions tab across the top (this is where all your buy and sell orders are listed)
3. on the left panel click Buying under Current Transactions
4. find the thing you want to cancel in the list.
5. click the cancel button. and again to confirm.

after cancelling, your gold will be in the pick up box.
