Today I was looking at lodestones availability number say 872 but when I click on item number change to 152. Which one is the right one and why is there wrong number of items there?

The tradepost is cross servers and cross worlds. So things can go really really quick.
It is very well possible that someone put an order out for 720 lodestones. This might happen when someone else put them on for a price way under the market price. In those situations there are people stalking the TP all the time and quickly buying them (and selling them later for a higher price).

So it is very possible both number where right.

No, there’s a “bug” since the last patch where it only shows the lowest 20 sale prices. The 152 is the total number of items in that block of 20 prices while 872 is the total on sale. This means those 720 items have been priced higher than the price of the 20th price on that list.
