If I wanted to advertise a transaction of in-game items for in-game currencies on these forums, where should I post my thread?

unfortunately, these forums can’t be used for public trading. The best thing to utilize is the in game trading post.

It’s not exactly a tangible item that I’m looking to sell, me and my friends have a fully upgraded guild that we have no use for anymore that we’ve joined a different one so we’d like to get a shiny penny off our work there.

It’s still technically trading, and so it’s usually not allowed. You’re better off just hanging around large cities and posting in map chat every so often. Or in Heart of the Mists.

Try reddit.com/r/guildwars2 , but even there I don’t think your post will be … let’s say, popular.

You can use the guild wars 2 subreddit, guildwars2 guru, and other websites.

One problem you’ll have is finding a reliable way to make the transfer — give some thought to how you can make sure that you’ll get the money before handing power of the guild over (and how the buyer can make sure they get the power before giving up the money). One thing that works well is if both parties can agree on someone who can hold the guild/money in “escrow” and distribute it properly.
