Guild Wars 2

My guild got two fresh players. They installed the game 2 days-yesterday ago and went to the wrong server by accident.

We usually sugest the new players to delete theirs chars and transfer servers. One of then did it fine.

But the second player is being forced to wait the 7-days-limit for transfer for no reason.

Any idea why its happening?

There is a waiting period (7 days sounds right) for many in-game functions to work fully after you first register you game key (or so I have read here). I don’t fully understand WHY this would be in place but I’ve been told it has to do with WvW saboteurs and spies and/or gold sellers. Maybe someone else can fully explain the reasoning and if it actually does any good.
