Hey all,

I recently was contacted by a friend who wanted me to return to Guildwars 2, after I kind of lost intrest in it. She plays on the Tarnished Coast (North America), while I was active on the Underworld (European). Since I cant guest, i decided, wth, and wanting to transfer to her server, only always finding the server to be full.

Is there a way to just transfer there without constantly checking if there is space so I can transfer my characters there? Or is it simply playing the waiting game, cause I check pretty much every half hour, even in slow times during the week (I know, weekends aren’t exactly the right time to do it).

I asumed the slow times would be like between 9am – 3pm CET (thats like 3am-9am EST)

1: looking at your posting history here, it might be that you are a returning player??
If that is correct I would like to point out that server choice only matters now for WvW. For PvE and for sPvP, the game is now on two mega servers (one in the EU and one in NA). So if you have no interest in playing WvW with your friend, you can choose any NA server. Whenever you are in a party, you will always be on the same shard for PvE and sPvP (just staging area, the creating of arenamaps is done by the matchingsystem anyways). Sometimes it happens that you don’t but then you simply rightclick the persons portret in the party window and choose “join in”.

2: If your really want and need to be on tarnished coast, keep in mind that it is one of the most popular servers in NA and openings are very rare. The time when there is least activity and the best window of opportunity is between 5 and 6 AM EST (11-12AM CET). Teh reason is that the westcoast is then going to bed (2am there) and the eastcoast early birds are not awake yet, so only the sleepless and the other people not from NA are there.
