Okay, so my friend has been trying to transfer servers for quite some time now and is basically about to give up, I got in the server were supposed to go to and she didn’t.

now my question is this, when you are at the character select screen, do you have to completely re-log to see the servers update at “world selection” or could she just stay on character select and close + re-open the world select box and would it work that way too? because it seems the pop’s never changed if I closed/re-opened the world selection box, but some people say that’s not true, any advice, thanks.

Yes log right out. It list does not always refresh if you just go to character select. This info comes from Anet and personal experience

I worked hard yesterday to get my friend into TC, one of the most popular servers. I managed at about 11 pm, after trying for 12 hours. you have to be patient and try at random hours, when most people are logged off.

Just closing and re-opening the window doesn’t work. You must completely close out and run the client again.

I usually have some luck around 6-7pm EST. Good luck!
