Guild Wars 2

Ive been getting a few whispers from wvw players wanting me to use some of my transmutation charges and apply them to white weapons and send them. Namely my legendaries so that they can break down the weapon and gain the skin. Im sure ArenaNet though about this and this feature does not work, but I wanted to see if any of the players here have tried it.

I thought applying a skin made an item account bound no matter what rarity it might be?

Using a transmutation charge on an item will make it account bound (unless it is already soul bound).

I have a feeling that if it were possible to do something like that, that ANet would consider it an exploit and ban people who handed out Legendary’s skins to other players.
