I dont know if this is an issue or not. but when i used transmuted stone it deleted i think 2 items.

the tooltips says nothing about removing items just soulbound which to me think it would stay in the bags.

the only thing i got out of it was 2 wasted transmuted stones and 2g and a word that says “transmuted” on a level 16 blue leggings

items in question is “Eagle Chausses Eagle Chausses” (gone) and “Precise Worn Chain Legs”

The transmutation process is taking the best features of 2 items and make a new one with those. But it doesnt give you the bad item with all the bad features, it just gets deleted.

i was under the impression copy a looks of an item. not stats as i know having a lvl60 item on a lvl16 item wont do much for it. even then all it has is +7power and nothing else.

When you transmute an item you are combining two items in to a single item. You get to choose which of the two “skins” you want, which of the two sets of stats you want and which of the two upgrades upgrades you want (if the items in question have any upgrades). Then, when you press “transmute” you get an item with the three options you chose and the original two items are deleted.

Losing the items is the price you pay for transmutation. If you did not want the level 16 stats then you should have chosen the level 60 ones.

What did you expect? That you’d pick 2 items and it’d create a 3rd that combined the best features of both out of thin air?

That would wreak havoc on the in-game economy.

(Also not to be pedantic but it doesn’t say anything about deleting items because it doesn’t delete anything. It combines 2 items into 1, which is exactly what it says it will do.)

It’s one of the best feature of GW2. I’ve always hate games that have great looking gears with horrible stats and decent gears with fugly looks.

Transmutation stone allows me to get the best of both that I want, not picking sides.

I agree with you this was one of the features that i was most excited about when i first heard of it.

No one can understand what you’re saying. But you believe it’s the game that’s stupid. Just wanted to point this out to you.
