I transmuted my Elementalist’s starter head armor (Flame Eye) to give it stats from another item and the look disappeared. Neither of the combined items are visible, and I’ve tried toggling on visibility and unequipping/equipping it.

Is there any way I can get the Flame Eye look back? I don’t want an invisible helmet.

Does it not show only when you equip it or also when you use preview button? Because I had an invisible scepter that didn’t show on preview but appeared normal when equipped. The scepter was also transmuted and it was in my hand during transmutation. Was your helmet perhaps equipped too and did you had it toggled on “hide helmet” during the process ?

I’ve found that the Flame Eye only appears at character selection. As soon as I’m in-game, it’s gone.

Well, its definitely a bug then and you should post it on bug section of the forum.

I don’t remember clearly if I had Hide or Show toggled for my head armor at the time. I don’t think I would have had it hidden, since I like the look of it. It’s definitely why I transmuted the look over to another item.

I’m pretty sure your hair blocks the helm eye since it’s on your forehead.

I had this same problem with the water one on an Elementalist. I bugged it a long time ago.

In fact, what was fun (at least back then) was if you put it on, you can’t show it while you are in the game, but if you leave it checked as visible and log out and back in, you ‘should’ see it at the character select, just sadly not in the game.

The bug with the transmuted starter head gear of the Elementalist is known since release. It is just not important enough to be fixed so soon, with this unending list of bugs they have to fix.
