I believe it used to be possible to transmute Order gear from one toon and pass it to another through the bank. Is this still possible, or is it something we aren’t actually supposed to be able to do? I’d really like to pass some of the weapon skins between characters.

I’ve never actually tried with an order weapon, however if it is possible I imagine you would need to buy the skin, transmute that weapon onto at maxiumum a ‘blue’ quality weapon including the blue weapons stats and then pass it across via the bank. I have no idea if this actually works, the only similar thing I have personally tried is with the heavy armour skin you buy from the gem store, I used it on a guardian and decided I didn’t like the character so to avoid loosing the armour skins when I deleted it (they were applied to bound armour I was using) I transmuted them onto blues then left them in the bank for another character to use.

Cool, thank you. Any word on if ANet minds us doing it? It isn’t the sort of exploit they ban for obviously as I’m not profiting, but just curious if they’d said anything.

I’ve heard of plenty of people doing it. Can’t imagine it’s a bannable exploit. You’re not really exploiting anything anyway. No monetary gain or griefing or the like.

I;ve never heard of someone getting banned for it and it’s existed for months…if it bothered them they’d say something or patch it (imo)

yes I transferred a whispers leggings from a Human to a Sylvari- not a weapon but same principle.
