My friend and I (warrior and elementalist) duoed the entire path, including the final boss. It’s very hard to describe in writing, but basically, if you run in circles around the tree while all the little spiders chase you, and move at angles, the spiders’ spit attacks will miss you completely. Also, the tree’s immobilize attack comes only when it slams its fists into the ground- if you dodge then, it’ll miss you completely.
The two of us basically killed the tree that way with zero reflects and without having to rush DPS- we ran around and around it, avoiding the spit attacks simply with movement and dodging, dropping ranged AoEs on the tree and gradually burning it down.
