Hi peeps, i am a new player i find the game so lonely, i am lvl 8 atm thou i nvr see anyone,
is there dungeons i can sign for? ones i can group with other players?

I know peeps do not like to compare much, but in wow just walk outside org and the area is filled with peeps just playing, 1v1, killing piggys, walking mini pets, dancing just doing random things having a laugh, is there anywhere like this in gw2?.

The game is fab thou the experience is only let down by the feeling you are playing a single player game not a mmo, i want peeps to play with:(
there just is not anyone around, i want to feel like its a adventure to share with others,
i love the events, thou again as yet im the only one there, i think in the 2 days ive been making new toons and trying classes out, i think i have seen 3 other players at most, none talk thou.

Is the game better at max lvl? i hope so as in general its super fun thou i dont like this single player feeling, thanks in advance for any reply.

There are lots of elements in this game that has a single player feel to it than most MMOs I think.

At lvl8, its too low for dungeons in this game, but run around the starter area map and do events and reknown hearts, sometimes you’ll find fellow players (new ones even) whom you can party with there. Maybe from there, some might even introduce you to a guild, where hopefully even more social experience would follow.

Additionally you can also enter WvWvW, it will scale up your charater to lvl 80 standards, and there it’s all about people doing stuff; siegeing, raiding, battling etc.

I don’t know your server…you can try guesting to others to see if they’re busier though. Guesting is free. Find a server you like to play on and play on that server. It might help.

It has a tendency to be a little vacant in the lower level zones. Try Lions Arch. It’s the Stormwind/Orgrimmar of GW2. Every race’s home city has an asura gate to there.

Also, check your dailies. There is usually a daily for say Ascalon killer or Maguuma killer or whatever. If there is, there is usually lots of people in the low level areas of those places doing events.

Wayfarer Foothills for Shiverpeaks
Queensdale for Kryta
Plains of Ashford for Ascalon
Metrica Province or Caledon forest for Maguuma

Queensdale is the favored starting area, that’s where everyone hooks up and hangs out for events.

Lion’s Arch is the major portal hub city.

They are all busy on all worlds.

The equivalent to org in WoW (and IF if your alliance) would be Lion’s Arch, you can get there through a portal on your home city. Also there’s the Super Adventure Box thing going on, so chances are you’ll also see lots of people on Rata Sum.

In my experience (also on Yak’s Bend) the newbie zones that seem to be the most populated are Wayfarer Foothills (norn) and Queensdale (human) because of the events there that give rewards to higher level chars as well. No matter which race you created you can go to any of the other races cities and zones through Lion’s Arch, just go to your main city, look for the gate to LA, and once there you’ll be on a round plaza with gates to all other cities around it.

Another way to go to LA easily is to click on the PvP icon, click on “go to the heart of the mysts”, if it’s your first time there for that character you’ll have to do 3 quick events, and there you’ll find a portal to LA.

The first duneon you can do is Ascalon Catacombs at level 30 (story mode, 35 for explorable mode, though it’ll be hard to do at that level IMHO), then one new dungeon unlocks every 10 levels after that.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

The first dungeon unlocks at level 30 for story mode and level 35 for explorable mode. However, you might find them tough to run at level.

First dungeon is level 30 and then progress with different dungeons. Levels are:
30
40
50
60
70
76
78
80

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

If you’re looking for players hanging around – dancing – walking minis – filling map chat – etc – you definitely want to make your way to Lion’s Arch right away.

Easiest way is to head to the Heart of the Mists, rush through the tutorial area and take the portal.

dungeons technically begin at lvl 30, where you can do the story mode for the lowest dungeon. Exploration mode starts at lvl 35.

That said, the dungeon in question, Ascalonian Catacoms (in plains of ashford) has been changed to be more challenging and most ppl often run that at much higher lvls (some groups demand lvl80 toons).

Guest over to Tarnished Coast server like everyone else. That’s why you don’t see anyone- they are all on my server clogging the place up. :-P

Seriously, if you are wanting a lot of people you’d do well to do that >_> I’ve never seen a remotely empty portion of land on this server. Anywhere. Ever.

This^^^

The lower level areas are always full, the only areas I see that are somewhat empty are the mid level areas, like around 35-60. Other than that there are always people doing DE’s everywhere it seems.

If you want to just see other people lions arch and divinitys reach are popular places but culling will get pretty bad there and you will only see people near you :P(they are working on this in pve zones, its fixed in pvp)

You should be able to find people in most zones… im on med pop server and dont have really any issues : o maybe some zones are less popular than others tho.
