UI question???

Can you link a screenshot?
I had that happen Saturday night, briefly. I think it’s telling you to heal, but it’s glitched and sticks around.
I did not screenshot but it is a very large white triangle, fairly flattened (ie an obtuse angled one), pointing downwards. I didn’t try Escape or anything, it didn’t persist long enough for me to do more than go “Huh, lookithat.” I was on an 80 but was in Queensdale at the time as I recall (it’s a little fuzzy, could have been Kessex, I was helping someone film a machinima so we were hopping around maps a lot).
In starter zones, when your HP reaches a certain percentage, this arrow drops down as a hint to new players that they have a heal skill and should use it. This is especially pertinent because new characters no longer start with down state—run out of HP at an early enough level, and you immediately die.
Needless to say, it’s not working as intended. It shouldn’t show up for high level characters at all. If you end combat without using that heal skill, either by running away or by killing the mobs attacking you, the arrow persists and won’t go away until you zone. It also prevents ESC from opening the game menu, though you can still do so by clicking on the gear in the upper corner.
TL;DR it’s a “feature” of the NPE that isn’t working quite right.
EDIT: fixed ambiguous phrasing.

Had one stuck on my heal for a bit over the weekend.
RIP City of Heroes
Yup that’s the one. I always have to zone to get rid of it. We should probably /bug it I guess.

yes, this is an annoying bug. the “use your heal skill, noob” indicator becomes stuck now.
funny behavior tho.. if you hit the escape key while it’s bugged you cause it do replay through it’s animation, over and over…
Yep. Same here.
