Guild Wars 2

I have decided to come back to GW2 after a long break, and since then have been many updates it seems.

Before one of the updates, my character was wearing a hat in his town clothes or whatever it was called, set. The set of clothes you swap to for RP and such, not your main armor.

That option to “swap” seems to be gone now, but my character still somehow is wearing the hat in that slot. How do I take off/access it exactly?

Go to a black lion armor merchant in a city and talk to him/her. You’ll get an option to retrieve items that were worn (some will become tonics, not clothing).
