Guild Wars 2

Twice yesterday after the patch I found myself in combat unable to move. I could jump, use all my skills, but the Q-W-E and A-S-D keys did nothing. I didn’t have any debuffs on me and my opponents didn’t have any abilities that could freeze me in place (they were level 19 and under in both cases and I’ve fought them before).

In both cases I had to restart the game before my keyboard worked again in GW2.

Has anyone else seen this and were they able to fix it with restarting?

I’ve had the same happen a couple times over the last week and the only fix for me was restarting.

I had this happen a couple times a month or two ago, so it’s not just something introduced in the new patch. Pretty sure just exiting to the character select screen and going back in fixed it.

Movement skills can also get you out of that but not every profession has one and not everyone is always carrying one.

Like when it happened to me the other day on my necromancer. There was an “interesting” combination of things happening at the same time but I forgot to make note of it.
