Guild Wars 2

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how guild missions work if you’re unguilded.

I haven’t found the right guild for me yet, but I don’t want to miss out week after week while I search. Is there anyway for me to keep receiving guild commendations by helping out other guilds or do i absolute have to join one? And how does guild missions, guesting and all that work?

you gotta be in a guild and representing it to get the guild commendations.

there’s no actual downside to representing them though.

I’m just trying to gt a bank guild going so I’d like to be repping that is all.

Any guilds out there that wouldn’t mind me tagging along this week, that would be so helpful.

Then you just need to find the right guild. My own guild is far too small since we’re only x3 players with multiple characters. We lack the influence needed to access the Guild Bounty missions, let alone run them by ourselves. However one evening I saw a random guild leader advertising for a Guild Bounty PUG in Lion’s Arch. It turns out that he was part of a large guild, but wanted to help out the community of Fergusson’s Crossing.

People would get a guild invite, they would accept, and their guild rank is changed to a specific member setting which the hosting guild used for its PUG members. The hosting guild was large enough that they wouldn’t have to purge any inactive members who are part of the “Guild Bounty” guild rank. Whenever a PUG is announced, people just switch their guild rep tags over to the hosting guild. Then once the event is over, people just switch their tags back to their home guild.

This whole experience was a lot of fun. I’d love to do something similar for my own guild once we finally have access to Guild Bounty missions.

Snow White, you just need to try and find yourself a guild that hosts PUG runs for these Guild Bounty missions. You may have a hard time finding one, but this sounds like the best solution for you.

I know plenty of guilds that dont want you to represent all the time. Besides weekly participation in the bounty sounds like a good deal. You help the guild with merits, you get the reward.

My guild is just me and another friend so that we can use the guild bank. I went to gw2lfg and found some small guilds looking for people to help them on the guild bounty. I just msged the guy and joined his guild temporarily to represent, killed the bounties, and then left the guild. It’s win/win.
