Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has found a reliable or decent place to farm dyes? Or do they just have a small chance to drop off anything. I am looking to get some cool colors for my toons.

wuvwuv has been my best place to get dyes.

wish I knew it seems hopelessly random. Going for the staff myself I think I am currently at 112
It honestly seemed to me that I would reliably get about 5 or 6 doing an entire zone

it’s a world drop, you can get them pretty much anywhere you get loot. other than mining and wood nodes i think.

I’ve even gotten Unidentified Dyes from harvesting nodes. Back when I was new to WvW, I accidentally tried to Mine a node that was above my current harvesting tool level. Amongst the x3 Ruined Ore, I also got a fee Dye. It balanced things out.

oh good to know! I’ve only gotten them from harvesting nodes.

I’ve found that the highest drop rate for me was ‘gathering’ nodes (i.e., vegetables, etc… not wood or metal nodes). Look for the areas that a lot of gathering nodes clumped together. It seems like if you gather a bunch of gathering nodes at once you have a higher chance to get a dye; but I know in reality the chance in normalized.

Look for places in Queensland. I’ve seen them in the Shiverspine Peaks area too. Oh, the BLTC has packs you can buy (one of them will be a rare dye).
