With the new agony infusion slot, if I upgrade my ascended backpiece for the cosmetic change (Beta to “Glowsplosion” version), do I lose the socketed +5 Agony Resist infusion that I received from having it infused in the first place?
It’s already expensive enough for the cosmetic change, I am worried I’ll lose out on that socketed infusion too.

Hmm interesting. With the old system you wouldn’t loose the inherent +5, so it makes sense that you should be able to keep it since you’re just changing the cosmetic look. I say try it and if you loose it put in a support ticket to try and get it back.

Lost my +5 inherent when I upgraded.

Lost my +5 inherent when I upgraded.

Ew…that’s a big bummer.

So that means don’t put any big +X AR infusion in any backpiece that you might want to upgrade further…

Well that stinks.
I don’t mind losing the +5 that I bought with fractal relics…. easily replaced.
Losing the one gained from having it infused in the first place is kinda awful.
So the glowy one does not have its own +5 built in? (from being ascended/infused)

Yeah, kind of figured the new +5 AR infusion would be lost. The same way the old infusions were lost if upgraded.

The new item created should just have the infusion slot and it will be empty. This is unfortunate.

I’m not sure if the devs actually thought about this in advance or not. There is no easy way around it besides having a means to extract the infusion first.
