Let’s say you joined the Durmand Priory, but you really like the armor of the Order of Whispers. I’ve heard there’s a way to wear the armor of an order that’s not the one you joined through transmuting. Is this allowed or is it a bug\exploit? I’d like to know before using transmutation stones.

It works that way so as far as I’m concerned it’s not an exploit your not gaining anything from it its just rare armor. Frankly it shouldn’t be character bound in the first place, it should be account bound.

If you have characters in other orders, they can get the armor for that order, then you can transmute the skin.

it was probably more a bug then a features, but i think it was corrected with the patch of the 28/11 , because on Vizuna square, some people can’t do it from this day,

It will require two transmutations and I think the armor being bound makes a difference. It could get expensive. And the armor involved all has to be the asme weight (light med heavy). Here is how it has worked in the past (and I don’t see why it would be changed)

12 trans stones
whisper armor
priory armor
trash armor
char from each order

1) level up your priory guy and get the priory armor
2) Then transmute the priory skin to the trash armor (keep it all unbound)
3) give the trash armor to the whisper guy
4) the whisper guy gets his whisper armor
5) transmute the trash skin (which is now priory) to the whisper armor
6) enjoy

trans stones don’t always seem to work as expected; great concept but far too many unwritten rules and/or bugs. Has to do with binding I think. However I have used them on leveling chars to transfer runes, with some success.
