I know I’ve seen an “Einhander” skin from a vendor; in fact, I bought a couple.
Now, though, I can’t remember where he/she/it was.
Anyone… ??!?!?!
Is there a “Zweihander” skin available or do I need to use one and transmute it?

Acccording to Wiki, Illa in Hoelbrak sells both an einhander and a zweihander for 9800 karma each.

The only ways to get that skin in particular is from the mentioned karma NPC, as a drop in the Shiverpeaks, or from the Trading Post. It is only available as a weapon, not as a skin. It might be available as a skin in PvP as well, but it would have to have been acquired as a reward or from the Mystic Forge.

The skin you can only find in PvP, but tomorrow you can unlock (if you don’t have already) the skin by equipping/salvaging the actual weapon.

Did you people not read that I’ve previously purchased two but can’t remember from which vendor? It’s available; somewhere.

You are mistaking something, or it is different skin name, or it is PvP.
In game there is absolutely no weapon or armor you buy as skin, you can acquire some skins by PVP, gem store and HoM.

You can buy the skin(s) in WvW at a vendor in your home server Borderland (costs Badges).

Weapon Master [Weaponsmith] in each realm’s “Citadel” sells the SKIN.

Apparently I only forgot WvW skins, sorry, but still and your weapon skin isn’t there.

You are wrong. I’m pretty sure all the cultural weapon skins (below the rare ones) are available as skins from that vendor.

I KNOW those 2 are as I almost bought the Zweinhander one over the weekend (but I picked the Krytan Greatsword one instead).

You are looking at the wrong vendor…and I was mistaken about the Badges as it’s the Karma vendor that sells the skins.

You are right that the Cultural Norn sword / greatsword are also the skins the OP asked about.

No, you were right in the first, WvW sell skins, karma sell items with stats
