Is there any way to view what a gear peice looks like on me before I buy it? I’m a charr and my head peice looks dumb on me right now.

If you’re buying from a vendor you can right-click and press “Preview”, which will bring up a window of your character with the gear on…It only works in some instances though, and you can’t use it on the Black Lion Trading Post. That’s pretty much it, as far as I know.

Otherwise there are sites dedicated to tabulating all the different types of armour, etc. (http://www.gw2armorgallery.com), but yeah as I said, if you’re just wanting to know what a piece from a vendor looks like, right click.

To preview gear for free, you’re best bet will be the sPvP lobby lockers that have all weapons/armor for your previewing pleasure.

Oh really? I thought you had to collect them before you could have a look at them…I’ll have to try next time I’m on.

Ya, its how I figured out my warrior’s look so I know what zones/dungeons/karma amount to get before I started that journey to get what I wanted
