So looking at this page from wiki http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Item_nomenclature I can see there are quite a lot of possibilities you can equip your character differently, one which is the “tank option”(Soldier’s:Power, Toughness, Vitality).

What do you guys things, should there be more defensive options in equips?

I run full Toughness and Vitality on my engineer and play strictly as support with healing, buffs, turrents, etc. After all, you’re no good to your party if you’re dead

Ha, you and me are two entirely different playstyles. I try to invest in some Vitality and Toughness on my traits, but I went full power for my Engineer, and maxed out my explosives trait line for the Grenadier Grandmaster.

I basically went for long range grenade bombardment with support from elixirs to get me out of tight spots. Usually in dungeons and PVE general there’s a melee taking all the aggro, so I just bombard his position for my support (though I do pack some nice healing AOEs too).

Nothing changes if Nothing changes.
