Guild Wars 2

So, its been a busy year for me so i didn’t play for a year untill this week i started again.
but it seems like i missed some big stuff, the last time i entered lions arch it was all pretty an now it’s destroyed, then i found out there was an event
the battle for lions arch thing was that an event or can i actually still play it? i can’t seem to find good info on this
i played the original guild wars so i would like to keep to the storyline, i’m a little sad that i wasn’t there when it happened
are there any other big things that i missed in this year?

You can purchase all the releases for season 2 for 200 gems per episode and play through them as you want. Or if you just want to do the story grab a friend who has it unlocked and play through with them.

Everything grouped under Season 1, which ran until March 2013 was temporary content only available for 2/4 weeks.

But most of what’s come since (the April and September Feature Packs and Season 2) are permanent. If you didn’t log in to unlock the Season 2 story you’ll have to pay 200 gems for the story instances, but the new maps, items etc. are free.

Depending on the level of your characters, levelling up has changed a lot (for characters below level 30) and the changes to some traits have been significant. Read update notes, especially for the “feature patches”.
Wardrobe skins & Minipets, if you have a lot of them need your attention too.
