How do I get the weapons held in the hand in armor previews? Is it possible?

Or should I just strip off all my armor so the weapon isn’t being clipped here?

You can rightclick on the weapon → preview → “only show weapon”.

I’m not getting that as an option in wardrobe.

Am I right-clicking the wrong area?

You have to go to a banker and select the wardrobe storage tab there to preview skins.

Yeah, QoL issue there.

Yeah, not on your hero panel. On your wardrobe or, for example, on the trading post. Or every other panel (merchants etc), except hero panel.

There is a workaround for that … deficiency.

You can whisper yourself and then link the skins from the wardrobe using shift+click. Clicking on the links in chat will give you the usual preview window and functionality. Whispering yourself is just to avoid spamming chat.
