Hey guys, I am having a really hard time deciding what I should focus on; my warrior or my ele. I love both the playstyles equally, Warrior for it’s insane mobility and straight up in your face goodness, Ele for the mobility and it’s plethora of skills and ability to adapt to any situation

Due to time constraints I don’t have enough time to play both so I was hoping the community could help me out with some pros/cons of each profession in all aspects of the game; WvW, PvP, open PVE and dungeon running.

I don’t have a warrior so I’m a little unsure about WvW/PvP but they’re supposedly not too good there. Warriors reign supreme in PvE so if that’s what you mostly do, stick to the warrior.

Eles are kinda average all around, some will argue they’re over/underpowered, but the elementalists’ capabilities are much more dependent on player skill than warriors since they have a much higher skill cap.

If you’re out to have fun, not just goldfarm and throw huge numbers out, I’d recommend going with the elementalist as they seem to be much more fun/challenging to use. If you’re in it for the cash and facerolling content go with the warrior. Take all I’ve said with a grain of salt since after all, it’s one person’s opinion :P

Like you said, you don’t have a Warrior. Big grain of salt.

To the OP: What levels are your Ele and Warrior currently? If they’re still kinda low take them into the mists to get a feel for how they’ll play at 80. If you like both play styles equally that’s probably the best advice I can give.

Thank you for the responses. I am not too much into farming, I am more of an explorer/completionist type. So a class that is good in all aspects of the game is important.

As for my Warrior, he is level 80 while my elementalist is level 43. I have taken every profession into the mists to do just that and it didn’t really help much since I enjoy both professions equally at level 80.

If your warrior is already level 80 and you enjoy both then level your ele to 80. That way you have access to 2 different professions and 2 different combat styles. You can decide then what you want to do. Heck. Do exploration on both. It’s not like your are being timed.

After you get the ele to 80 you can settle on one and have another level 80 to play for change of pace.

I’m going to second also bringing your Ele up to 80. There’s no reason you can’t play both once at 80 (unless you count WXP).
