I helped out several people with mats for crafting via that thread and received help getting some mats form others.

Again, just curious.

Google still lists the link for the thread, which of course results in a ‘this topic could not be found’. So yeah, it looks like they nuked the thread

This what I post in another thread were person ask about this.

Maybe it get remove because some player in that thread try to use to make trades off TP. I see this a few time. Also there some people I think not very honest and try to use thread to get things for greed. I see one person ask for things then maybe week later delete that post ask for more different things. Always different story and then do this again several time. Always delete early post before to look like not ask for to much. To bad so many people can not have trust in thread like that. I think some people abuse it for greed and maybe why Anet delete it.

So I think what start as nice thread turn in to people abuse it to try make gold or for greed. To bad player can not be trust to be honest and instead use for personal gain.

It was a nice thread. I was able to help some folks out (and got thanks every time), and I also got helped out a little on my Nightfury. But yeah, I was super wary of people asking just because “hey free stuff” instead of actual need. Sort of like the ones who spam the same line in Map chat on a regular basis about “I only need x more things, so close to this big project finishing, can anyone help?” so they can collect a zillion T6 mats from gullible sorts and then sell them for profit.

That’s what I was afraid of…some recent posts also got kind of nasty as well accusing people of being lazy and all that jazz.

I only focused on helping folks out with specific mats they were using for crafting…things that could be gotten in game…and only asked for the same…I asked for the mat i am collecting because it takes FOREVER to get drops and they are way expensive on TP…lol

I think some people got carried away with asking for Gem Store stuff…that could have been an issue as well.

I was always sure to thank, and I always received thanks…it was a good thread.

Sad to see it go…thanks for the input all…maybe we’ll get he thread starter to come in and let us know what happened. But then again…maybe not…
