Guild Wars 2

Was working on the Mawbrey series and came to the mini-dungeon where one needs to get the Water of Rhand. Discovered along with others that after killing statues then going down to mortar that it is bugged and want let you added the head so that it shoots down the ceiling allowing one to access the waters below where the Water of Rhand piece is located. Is anyone else stuck at this point in making the Mawdrey piece. Put in a bug report but so far no fix after a few weeks. Is this typical of Anet? Do we have any other recourse in getting the Water of Rhand piece necessary to make the mawdrey? Any help would be appreciated.

• Walk onto the ‘floor’ that sits above the water.
• Logout the character.
• When you log back in, the ‘floor’ will be gone and you can proceed as if you placed the statue head in the mortar.

FYI It’s only been 10 days (not a few weeks) since it broke. In the meantime, ANet has been fixing other bugs that affect more people or have more serious repercussions. (To be clear, I am very unhappy with the quality of the last major release — I just don’t expect them to get everything fixed in a week or event two, based on past experience with software development/release cycles.)

Actually I tried the logout trick and was sent back to Lion’s Arch rather than as you stated. I wasn’t implying a negative on Anet, but was merely asking if others have had similar issues. It was a guildy who told me it was an ongoing issue for a few weeks. Yes, I’ve been happy with the game and played since Beta and have no major issues with Anet per se.

The other option is to get a mesmer that is already in there to portal you in. If you are on an EU server I can do that for you.

I ran into this bug a couple of days ago. Relogging just put me back at the mortar until I walked well out onto the rubble and stood atop one of the little holes in it. Then the relog had me swimming and I got the water soon thereafter.

I have no idea how you ended up back in LA.

That seems to be another bug. >_<

Glad to hear it ! (I’m glad the workaround still does the trick, even though I’m annoyed that this still isn’t fixed.)

Thank you very much I am doing Mawdrey now and that thing is still bugged… (now not a few days, more like 8 months^^) Luckely that work arround still works but its kind of kitten that you have to use a bug to avoid an other bug… xD
