Which weapons salvage ONLY into wood and which ONLY into ore? It seems most can give either.
Edit: For example, I’ve never gotten wood from salvaging a dagger. I’ve never gotten ore from salvaging a staff. I want to know all weapons that only give one or the other, not both.

Anything else? I’ve been getting ore each time from daggers. Also it seems so far that tridents and staves always give wood, but I wonder if any other items also do.

There are sometimes advantages to reversing that process, Contiguous. Instead of finding items and selling them to buy materials, you can also buy the items and salvage them to get the materials. Depending on the price of mats and the price of the item, it can be advantageous to salvage.

They’ll give whatever their ingredients for crafting are. Crafting daggers & swords only require ore, so that’s what they’ll return. Crafting axes & spears for instance, require wood & ore, so they’ll salvage to either.
Check the crafting recipes to see what gives what.
A bit late but maybe I can still help
Weapons that salvage only into ores: Dagger, Greatsword, Sword, Warhorn.
Weapons that salvage only into wood logs: Focus, Longbow, Scepter, Short Bow, Staff, Torch, Trident.
All others weapons salvage into ores and wood logs.
However, low level (below 20) Longbows and Short Bows also salvage into Copper Ore from my experience. I would suggest that this also applies to the other “only wood log” weapons. Low level Daggers and Greatswords on the other hand still only salvage into ores. Pretty wierd thing in my opinion, but with level 20+ weapons you will be on the safe side.
