i recently seen a rifle skin that looked alot like the mist weapon with the purple effect?

tho with various searches on the internet i cant seem to find it! was i seeing things? or is there a skin similar to this!?

They are called “X of The Mists”.

Reaver of The Mists (Axe)
Wall of The Mists (Shield)
Vision of The Mists (Greatsword)

Look ’em up on the Wiki for crafting recipe. Beware, as I am pretty sure each one requires a full stack of 250 Globs of Ectoplasms to make.

I don’t think the There is a Mists rifle, as they are based on Mesmer weapons. What you might have seen is the Asuran T3 cultural Peacemaker rifle, which costs 63k karma. Any race can buy one.

The effects don’t really show up in the picture. There is a pinkish purple mist around the rifle.
