Guild Wars 2

I want to transfer to a good world before fees are put on world transfers. I am currently in Northern Shiverpeaks. I haven’t visited other worlds, so I don’t know whether or not I’m already in a good world.
Basically, I just want an active, friendly world.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yak’s Bend is very friendly and active. I’ve been on a few different servers and I found a great home here, never leaving!

Aside from the unofficial status as the North American RP Server, it has attracted a crowd of many really good people and guilds. WvW-wise, we’re actually in Tier 2, so quite competitive. I love it, and I could never imagine being on any other server. Sure, there’s the odd troll, but there’s a lot less of them than other servers. Most zones are populated, I rarely am on my own, even if I am solo-ing.

Alright, it sounds like I want to join TC. I want to join as soon as possible, before it fills up, but I also don’t want to make a decision I’ll regret. I’ll wait to hear for a couple more opinions before I make a decision. Thanks guys, keep it coming.

Just pick any server and you will likely be happy. Nobody is going to come here and say that everyone on their server is mean and unhelpful, as those servers don’t exist. Like other games, each server here as a bunch of good apples. Yes a few bad ones exist everywhere, but overall you should be happy wherever you go as long as you pick a server in a world (EU or NA or whatever) that is compatible with your schedule.

I suggest not joining a server based on one single person’s opinion.

What specifically are you looking for that isn’t in the server you are currently on?

This might be the case with all servers, but I’m trying to do the Arah dungeon, but there is nobody around to do it with. I haven’t checked Lion’s Arch yet, but I haven’t seen much people looking for Arah groups there either.

MangoMan, you don’t need to be on the same server with another player to complete a dungeon. Most dungeon groups these days are formed either in LA overflows or through gw2lfg.com – I’d recommend that site if you are trying to form Arah groups.

Still, overall, my world seems a bit inactive at times, and I want to be in a good world before we have to pay to switch. Doing dungeons isn’t the only reason I want a good world.
