Q:
What are these shoes?
I’m not sure, but a quick “gw2armour” google and click on the first link and obviously go to asura etc. All of the armours shown have footwear that cover the toes. Not sure if that helps at all but I can only try
No luck there unfortunately, thanks though. I’m not sure if you noticed, but all those shoes have the side toes sticking out, so the shoes do not cover all of the toes. I’ve been through some armor galleries and haven’t seen them, so I guess those shoes are not among the most popular armor sets.

Well looked everywhere I could think of and couldn’t find anything that looked like those boots among medium armor. I only found 3 shoes that didn’t show the toes through, T3 cultural (definitely not those in your pic) and other two are the gem store ones, aetherblade and magitech.
Sorry I don’t know where they got those boots from. I’d almost guess they are ones that only show up on NPC’s in game or something like that.
The closest I can find on
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?sex=1&weight=2&race=0&color=0
is the Outlaw Boots as in [&AgH9LAAA] — which do seem to have the side toes.
I know you probably rotated the image in creation but in your screenshot it could just be too dark to see the toes sticking out. Or else there were boots that hid them, and the character creation screen has not been updated, but in-game boots have been corrected. I do vaguely recall forum complaints about having toes “amputated” by boots back at game start, when I wasn’t playing my Asura so I wasn’t paying that much attention to clothing her.
The chest, legs and gloves are Protean while the shoulders are Prototype but the shoes, can’t find those shoes.

Hi Aurion – recently I tailored a set of exotic, light, Exalted armour for my Asuran ele. The boots enclose her toes completely. There are some pictures on this Wiki page to show how they look (scroll down a little.) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Exalted_armor
:)
Except the profession is Thief and thieves use medium armor.
RIP City of Heroes
Yes, thanks Behellagh, I’m aware that thieves wear medium armour…. However, I thought might be helpful to mention to Aurion – and anyone else who might be interested – that a light armour version of this shoe-style exists.
