hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this.

so i have pretty much a character for every class, all 80 except thief and ele which are 6 and 40 respectively.

i find myself switching between characters so much and i just wish there was one i could fall in love with, so sometimes i like to have others decide for me. I’ll write some things i like to do and my kind of playstyle below.

i like:
dealing damage quickly (bursty)
being highly mobile
being useful in dungeons
being able to support my team
being able to survive, not just be a pure squishy, i like to be reasonably tanky
being reasonably simple to play (basically – not ele, dislike!)

wondering if anyone has any advice on how to settle for a class, i would much prefer to be in love with one class than keep switching between them all…. i want to get ascended armour and maybe a legendary weapon for something one day, but if i keep rerolling then ill never get there.

Everything you said would fit a warrior. High damage, good mobility, wanted/useful in dungeons, has a banner that can rez your downed party members (as well as other banners that provide party-wide buffs), has one of the highest base health pools in the game, and so easy you could be asleep and still play alright.

I feel your pain, I have had a hard time picking a main as well. In the end, I just tell everyone to go with whatever they find the most fun. I would probably second what Rose said though about warrior.

As stated above, Warrior is your sure bet:

dealing damage quickly (bursty) – With GreatSword’s Hundred Blades you can burst throught everything
being highly mobile – GS\Sword+Warhord and you are a marathon champion, rivaled only by Thief
being useful in dungeons – Its a very hard job to find any group that will not have or will not want to have at least 1 Warrior on the team
being able to support my team – GS, 2 banners and a Phalanx Build. You will not support your group with Healing or Protection but you will significantly improve your groups performance by giving them Might, Power, Prescision and Ferocity, increasing group’s damage output
being able to survive, not just be a pure squishy, i like to be reasonably tanky – Even in Zerker gear you are a tank with the largest Health pool in game, second only to a Necromancer with his cheaty Death Shroud
being reasonably simple to play (basically – not ele, dislike!) – Banners down, Whirwind Attack, Rush, Hundred Blades, Autoattack, Rince And Repeat. You can’t be any more simple unless you are actively slacking
